Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This role involves the maintenance and repair of our equipment, both at our facility and on client locations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in diesel engine mechanics.
  • Prior experience in mechanical roles.
  • Completion of NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Strong understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) standards.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • A valid UK driving license.

Key Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician, your duties will include:

  • Maintenance and Repair of Equipment:
    • Supporting the servicing of plant machinery, particularly pumps, at our facility.
    • Executing extensive repairs on equipment that require more than standard procedures.
    • Restoring end-of-life machinery to a like-new condition.
  • Logistical Support and Daily Operations:
    • Assisting with the loading and unloading of pumps and generators onto delivery vehicles using a Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck.
    • Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
    • Reporting significant equipment issues to the Foreman or Depot Supervisor.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Adhering to all health and safety protocols within the workshop.
    • Being knowledgeable and compliant with all environmental health and safety regulations.
    • Following all quality, environmental health, and safety directives, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), accident reporting, cardinal rules, and risk assessment method statements (RAMS).
