GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ICT Teacher to join a local secondary school in Christchurch. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring students, with a strong understanding of computer science and its applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative ICT lessons to students of varying ages and abilities. They will create lesson plans and supplemental materials that teach the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver comprehensive ICT lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
  3. Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make computer science relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  5. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Proven experience teaching IT or Business Studies at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
