Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Support Manager to join our team in Community and Health Social Care Services in Barking and Dagenham. This role will provide critical support to the Head of Service in maintaining service priorities, ensuring effective administration, and providing representation on committees and working groups.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Head of Service in maintaining service priorities, ensuring effective administration, and providing representation on committees and working groups.
  • Design and manage the operation of specific complex information and monitoring systems, ensuring that these systems are utilised effectively by the Community Health & Social Care Services.
  • Work in partnership with other directorates, external NHS organisations, local authorities, and other organisations to achieve integrated information.
  • Undertake QI project work as directed by the Head of Service and hold delegated responsibility for expenditure against the CHSCS B&D budget and any related project budget.
  • Undertake audits as directed by the Head of Service.
  • Oversee that an effective and courteous administration service is provided, ensuring that the highest standards of customer care are adhered to when dealing with service users.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4/5 qualification or equivalent.
  • NHS experience.
  • Experience of developing and managing comprehensive administrative systems.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of line management of staff.
