Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Psychotherapist to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Paediatric Psychology department, you will play a vital role in providing leadership and clinical expertise in our Chronic Fatigue and Long Covid clinical pathway.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the CBT pathway within Paediatric Psychology, ensuring the delivery of excellent care for children, young people, and families.
- Provide line management and clinical supervision to colleagues in the team.
- Contribute to teaching, training, and skills development in the team.
- Core mental health professional training in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or equivalent, together with post-degree diploma-level training in CBT.
- Completion of a recognised High Intensity supervision course provided by an IAPT-approved Higher Education provider.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
- Further training in supervision.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of child mental health problems across the full age range, reflecting all levels of severity.
- Experience of line management, case management, and clinical supervision of qualified therapists and therapists in training.
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
- Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials suitable for presentations within public, professional, and academic settings.
- Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate, to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and challenging behaviour.
