Architectural Technician

Job Summary
Hunter Dunning is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join our team in the high-end residential sector. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical drawing packages and construction detailing for complex and bespoke residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare planning drawings for statutory approval authorities
- Prepare and present technical 2D & 3D design solutions using AutoCAD and traditional methods
- Produce production information
- Liaise with consultants and manufacturers during the selection process of products for construction details
- Produce construction packages
- Visit sites, including quality inspections
- Undertake quality inspections
- Prepare photographic, SketchUp and 3D visuals
- Write and prepare specifications using NBS Chorus
- Assist with the detailed design process of small schemes and layouts for space planning
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of UK planning and building consents
- A minimum of 2 years UK experience
- Qualified as an Architectural Technician or Technologist
- 5 + years PQE in professional practice
- Experience working within the high-end residential sector, ideally with a portfolio of projects across prime boroughs of London or large country estates surrounding London
- Confident working in technical design and construction stages
- A love for bespoke joinery details
- Experienced in the technical delivery of standard and bespoke detailing within the high-end residential sector
- The ability to sketch by hand in 3D and 2D technical details
- The ability to carry out all aspects of detailing and construction information for high-end residential projects
- A high level of proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience drawing up specifications using NBS
- Confident in hitting the ground running and able to work using your own initiative
- An interest in bespoke technical development
- Impeccable written and verbal English
