Job Purpose

To oversee the efficient operation of the bulk offal packing department, ensuring adherence to company quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the offal area, packing processes, and employees, while maintaining site hygiene and labelling standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of the bulk offal packing department.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met and followed by all staff.
  • Train employees in relevant tasks and ensure they follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a clean and tidy offal department during production, adhering to walk-away standards.
  • Manage employees and build a functional team that delivers quality to customers.
  • Time management, attend meetings, raise issues with the abattoir supervisor, and ensure production efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Understanding of yields and margins on 5Q products.
  • Skills in using OCM labellers, running maintenance, scanners, and yield reports.
  • A drive to achieve daily goals and personal goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and drive a team.
