About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and trailers to ensure they are safe, legal, and fit for duty.
  • Complete signed service and inspection records, as well as defect reports and associated paperwork, to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
  • Perform ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects.
Requirements
  • Valid LGV C&E license (class one) and applicable vocational training.
  • Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
  • Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driving license.
