Job Title: Head of Legal Practice

Job Summary:

Jameson Legal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal Practice to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall compliance with the terms and conditions of our CLC authorisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the firm's compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).
  • Develop and implement effective compliance policies and procedures to ensure the firm's ongoing SRA authorisation.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with firms regulatory requirements, including client complaints, KYC and money laundering procedures, and firm-wide risk assessments.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to the Management Team on the status of the firm's compliance arrangements.
  • Deliver presentations to staff on compliance matters and provide training on compliance and client-facing quality of service.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor, chartered legal executive or licensed conveyancer of at least 6 years PQE.
  • Hybrid working out of our Norwich or Derby offices.
  • Must have had at least two years in a compliance role working in a legal practice dealing with client complaints, KYC and money laundering procedures, and firm-wide risk assessments.
