About the Role

AO Recycling is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our site Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our fully automated fridge recycling plant and plastic recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance work to ensure the plant operates at optimal levels
  • Deliver planned maintenance schedules and corrective/reactive work to minimize production downtime
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments and maintain a 'clean-as-you-go' approach to ensure a safe working environment
  • Monitor malfunctioning equipment and communicate with site management
  • Participate in engineering project work, including new installations and refurbishments
  • Log daily progress in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Contribute to problem-solving workshops and operational review meetings

About You

We're looking for a qualified engineer with a mechanical bias, experienced in a similar process, production, or manufacturing environment. You should be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work.
