About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Work Assistant to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis. As a Social Work Assistant, you will work closely with our team of social workers to provide support to vulnerable individuals and families in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of clients' needs and develop care plans in collaboration with social workers
  • Provide practical and emotional support to clients, including assistance with daily tasks and activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and interventions
  • Liaise with other agencies and professionals involved in the care of clients
  • Attend meetings and case conferences as required
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of the company and regulatory bodies
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the rights and dignity of clients at all times
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a social work or care setting is preferred
  • A relevant qualification in social work, social care, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Empathetic and compassionate nature
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
  • Flexibility to work on a part-time and temporary basis
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
