About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our team at Wood PLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Evaluate and recommend instrumentation and control systems for various industries and applications
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and meet client expectations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
