Collaborating closely with our design partner, this endeavor is set to revolutionize one of the most trafficked routes in the area, ultimately benefiting the local community and contributing to societal advancement.
We are currently seeking Sub Agents to join our team for this project. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities within your designated section. Your focus will be on ensuring that all operations are meticulously planned, executed, and finalized with a commitment to excellence. You will have the support of an Agent and other team members, but you are expected to take the lead in the detailed planning and execution of your section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a productive working environment for your team.
- Conduct inspections for temporary works.
- Evaluate designs and communicate technical inquiries to the design teams.
- Develop a 3-month forward-looking plan for your section, ensuring it aligns with the overall project timeline.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive site records for all activities and communicate any changes.
- Ensure timely and precise requisitions for equipment and materials.
- Capture and store quality records appropriately.
- Generate Non-Conformance Records and ensure their timely resolution.
- Establish and uphold clear health and safety expectations for your team and subcontractors.
- Set and maintain environmental management standards for your section.
- Identify and implement strategies to minimize carbon emissions associated with your work.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or an HND in Civil Engineering with relevant vocational training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- A solid understanding of engineering principles and standard construction practices.
- Familiarity with construction contracts through experience and formal training.
- Progressing towards or holding a Professional Industry Qualification (IEng, CEng, etc.).
- Proficiency in digital tools (MS Office, document control systems, site management tools).
- Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS).
- A valid CSCS Card.
- A full UK driving license is essential for our projects.
- Legal authorization to work in the UK is required.
- Excavation operations (HSG47, managing permits).
- Lifting Operations (CPCS A61 Lifting Appointed Person).
- Temporary Works (Supervisor, designer, or coordinator with formal training).
- Concrete works (previous experience as a site engineer).
- Structural steelwork (previous experience as a site engineer).
