About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Accountant Assistant to join our small finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Purchase ledger entries into Xero, ensuring nominal codes and cost centres are accurate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Purchase ledger entries into Xero, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain invoice payment approval workflows to ensure timely and efficient payment processing.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Prepare weekly supplier payments via BACS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Respond to Sales Ledger queries and assist with credit control, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain purchase and sales ledger procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end procedures, posting journals, and reviewing reports to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Process expense claims and credit card statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience using Xero is highly advantageous.
