Job Description:

Industrial Electricians Required

We are seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to join our team for a contract position. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems on a remote site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cable Containment Installation: Install ladder racks and cable trays to ensure safe and efficient cable management.
  • Cable Installation: Install power and instrument cables to meet the site's electrical requirements.
  • Glanding and Terminating: Connect and test electrical connections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs to electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidates will be required to work in a remote site environment, with some work taking place underground. The site is accessible by coach, with park and ride facilities available at Whitby, Guisborough, and Scarborough.

Shift Pattern:

The shift pattern will be 10 days on, 4 days off, with the option to work additional shifts to cover the duration of the contract. The working hours will be 11.5 hours per day, with 3 paid breaks.

Remuneration:

The rate of pay will be £22.90 per hour, with overtime rates of £27.94 and £36.66. Mileage will be paid at a rate of 0.22p per mile, with a maximum allowance of 40 miles or the distance from home to site, whichever is lesser.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial electrical work.
  • Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds or NVQ.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures.
