Catering Services, a vital part of the Customer Experience and Service Delivery division, is responsible for the effective management of the House of Commons catering facilities within a defined financial framework.

Our Catering Services promote a culture that upholds the highest ethical standards across all facets of our operations. Our dedication to excellence, coupled with a commitment to understanding and meeting our guests' needs, enhances our overall customer experience.

Role Responsibilities

Catering Support Assistants are essential members of the team, working alongside Supervisors and Managers to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of various food and beverage outlets within a bustling catering environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering an exceptional guest experience while ensuring that all food and beverage displays are attractively presented and regularly replenished, adhering to established customer and operational standards.
  • Maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards throughout the venue and ensuring it is free from litter.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in a café or similar setting, demonstrating a high standard of service in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers.
  • A strong degree of flexibility and adaptability, with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, capable of thriving in a busy atmosphere.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team, actively supporting colleagues and suggesting improvements to current processes.
