Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive asset management strategy. Oversee a varied portfolio of properties, ensuring they meet financial, social, and environmental goals.
  • Performance Evaluation: Continuously evaluate the performance of property assets, implementing a grading system to inform decisions on redevelopment, investment, or disposal.
  • Maintenance Management: Develop and manage a robust planned preventative maintenance program across all owned and leased properties. Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Supplier and Budget Management: Establish and maintain preferred supplier lists for maintenance services, and manage property budgets, working closely with finance teams to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice to senior leadership and ensuring property solutions align with organizational needs.
  • Operational Oversight: Direct the Facilities Operator to ensure smooth daily operations across the property portfolio, maintaining high standards of support and efficiency.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Professional Qualification: MRICS or similar qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in estate and asset management within complex environments. Demonstrated ability to lead corporate projects and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Skills: Strong strategic and business planning capabilities, including experience with digital asset management systems.
  • Driving License: A full, clean driving license is required due to the travel demands of the role.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in asset management within the health and social care sector.
  • Familiarity with managing properties featuring complex M&E systems, particularly those with BMS controls.
