Job Title: Occupational Health Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our team at Mobility Health Physical Therapy. As an Occupational Health Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality occupational health services to our clients and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver occupational health services to clients, including medical advice, health surveillance, and case management.
  • Act as an ambassador for our occupational health services and promote them to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that our occupational health services are delivered in accordance with best practice and industry standards.
Specific Duties:
  • Provide medical advice to clients on occupational health issues, including pre-employment health assessments, sickness absence management, and ill health retirement.
  • Conduct health surveillance and screening services for clients, including asbestos, IHR, and HAVS T4.
  • Act as a corporate medical advisor to clients, providing medical advice on disability claims and accident claims.
  • Provide clinical advice to pension trustees on fitness for entry into pension schemes and on claims for early ill health retirement.
  • Utilize our internal medical records database and diary system to ensure that clinical procedures are fulfilled.
  • Attend client premises to provide clinic services or case management advice.
  • Provide a variety of health surveillance services at physician level and provide reviews.
  • Act as a professional witness for clients in judicial environments.
Additional Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manage confidential data in line with the Data Protection Act.
  • Perform general office duties.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to continuously improve the customer experience.

  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Comply with Data Protection Legislation and Information Security requirements, such as ISO 27001.
  • Ensure commitment to impartiality, confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information.
  • Adhere to policy, procedure, regulatory, customer, and standard requirements relating to quality, information security, and environmental management systems.
Requirements for this Role:
  • DipOccMed/AFOM/MFOM qualification is the minimum.
  • Current GMC registration.
  • Current MDU restriction.
  • Prior transport experience.
  • ORR registered.
  • Asbestos (HSE), IHR, HAVS T4 experience and qualifications required.
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role within the private sector for at least 2 years.
  • Good understanding of employment law.
  • Qualified to undertake rail work is desired.
  • Hands-on knowledge of various aspects of health surveillance and screening.
  • Knowledge of Outlook and Word is essential, and knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is desired.
  • Full UK driving license.
