About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at Locke & McCloud, a leading cyber security and information security staffing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage security measures across Microsoft technologies, with a focus on Office 365 security best practices.
  • Lead and support Cyber Essentials certification efforts, ensuring ongoing compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of our Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO27001 standards.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement security controls that integrate seamlessly with our existing infrastructure.
  • Monitor security alerts and incidents, responding swiftly to mitigate threats and minimize impact.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for maintaining a secure environment, with a particular focus on Microsoft technologies and ISO27001 compliance.

About You:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, particularly Office 365 security, including configuration, management, and threat detection.
  • Proven track record in achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials certification.
  • Solid understanding of ISO27001 standards and experience in managing ISMS frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, Microsoft Security certifications) are desirable.
