About the Role

The Study Group is seeking a highly skilled Research Project Skills Tutor to join our team at the University of Sheffield International College. As a Research Project Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for teaching Research Project for STEM and Project Skills for STEM modules to international students in classroom-based sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Research Project for STEM and Project Skills for STEM modules to groups of international students
  • Mark assessments and provide feedback to students
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials, including formative and summative assessments
  • Act as a module coordinator, leading the teaching team and ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a Master's or higher degree in an Engineering or Science-related discipline, with experience of teaching Science or Engineering at RQF level 4 or above. You will also have experience of assessment marking at a minimum of RQF level 4 or above, as well as working knowledge of MATLAB and Microsoft Excel.

As a flexible and adaptable individual, you will be able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. You will also have competence in teaching and administrative IT skills, using a Virtual Learning Environment (e.g. Blackboard).
