Job Opportunity

Major Healthcare is supporting a well-established independent practice based in the South of Colchester area, seeking a new Optometrist to join their team.

  • Offering patients a variety of specialist support, including Dry Eye management, Glaucoma and Cataract monitoring, Paediatrics eyecare, and Hear care services
  • 1 spacious test room, a beautifully modern and sophisticated practice, and a truly patient-focused clinical environment with no commercial pressure
  • Weekend flexibility is possible; they are also closed Sundays, Bank Holidays, and over Christmas, offering a better work-life balance
  • Their eyewear collections are unique and elegant, promoting a wide range of designer and fashionable glasses, with a host of different styles ensuring there is something for everyone
  • Your day-to-day work will be varied, allowing you to become more involved within marketing and practice development
  • Patient needs are their number 1 goal, and the Directors are highly experienced Optical professionals who continue to work within the practice
  • Being part of a friendly, close-knit team of experienced optical professionals who have worked together for many years and are all passionate about optometry
  • Short- and long-term clinical training and development available, including financial support towards a variety of additional qualifications
Details and Requirements
  • Opening Hours: Monday – Saturday (09:00am - 17:00pm)
  • Closed Sundays, Bank Holidays, and over Christmas
  • Full or part-time position (3 – 4 days)
  • Weekend flexibility possible
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered
Salary and Benefits
  • Up to £65,000 + professional fees & pension
  • 25 days holiday + 8 BH (33 in total)
  • 4 weeks full sick pay
