Job Summary

The Azure Data Engineer will play a key role in supporting the delivery and development of our client's Digital Portfolio. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining existing data pipelines, monitoring workloads, and ensuring data quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Monitoring and Recovery: Proactively monitor data quality and perform root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.
  • Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies and internal processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analytics Support: Provide technical support for data science workloads and ensure the availability of data for analytics purposes.
  • Dashboard Maintenance: Maintain and monitor user-facing dashboards and other internal digital products.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Azure Experience: Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Programming Skills: Strong Python and SQL skills for manipulating data.
  • Apache Spark and Databricks: Experience with Apache Spark and/or Databricks.
  • End-to-End Analytics Pipelines: Experience in managing end-to-end analytics pipelines for data science workloads.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Experience in root cause analysis and post-incident reporting in a production environment.
