Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to enhance our investment offerings and assist our Finance and Treasury departments in navigating and adhering to relevant prudential regulatory standards. This role will be based in London and will involve collaboration with a diverse team of specialists across various disciplines, including Risk, Product, Treasury, Finance, and Marketing. Your expertise will be vital in fortifying our approach to regulatory risk management, governance, and oversight.
Initially, this position will serve as maternity cover for an existing Compliance Manager. Upon their return, you will take the lead in ensuring compliance with conduct regulations for our investment and payment sectors in the UK, while focusing on prudential and investment regulatory matters.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for prudential and investment regulatory guidance and policy within our UK investment operations, covering areas such as IFPR, MIFIDPRU, SYSC 19G, and CASS.
- Manage escalations from first-line teams regarding investment products and prudential oversight.
- Evaluate upcoming changes in prudential and investment regulations, collaborating with first-line teams to conduct impact assessments and devise implementation strategies as necessary.
- Assist with internal and external audit inquiries related to CASS and prudential regulations.
- Collaborate with the broader regulatory team to oversee regulatory interactions and manage internal and external reporting obligations.
- Work alongside the second-line monitoring and testing team to ensure robust oversight and assurance measures are in place for compliance with relevant prudential and investment regulations.
- Provide regulatory training and develop self-help resources to support the investment business in meeting its regulatory commitments.
- Advise on marketing initiatives associated with our investment products.
- During the maternity cover period, support the business in adhering to conduct rules and requirements pertinent to investment firms.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in regulatory compliance, along with excellent communication and organizational skills, and a positive, motivated attitude. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:
- Expertise - A comprehensive understanding of prudential and investment regulations, including relevant guidelines, standards, and policies such as MiFIDPRU, IFPR, and CASS. Familiarity with additional regulatory requirements related to operational resilience, wind-down planning, payments, or conduct rules is advantageous.
- Experience - A minimum of 4 years in providing regulatory guidance, policy development, and/or risk management.
- Proactive - A strong sense of urgency and the ability to perform effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and taking ownership while meeting tight deadlines.
- Problem Solver - A knack for identifying innovative solutions and collaborating with various teams to achieve objectives.
- Communication Skills - Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for building relationships and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

- Willingness to Travel - While this role is based in London, flexibility to travel to other office locations may be required.
