About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to join our award-winning team at Avery Healthcare. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality culinary services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in leading the culinary team to provide a nutritionally balanced and comprehensive culinary service.
  • Prepare modified diets that are appealing and well-balanced, in accordance with IDDSI guidance.
  • Supervise and direct the work of culinary staff, providing instruction and demonstration on simple food preparation activities.
  • Ensure that all food preparation meets the highest hygiene standards, adhering to our Food Safety Management System.
About You

To be successful in this role, you must possess a relevant catering qualification, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ equivalent. You should also have a minimum of 1 year of catering experience and demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services.
