District Nurse Specialist Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a District Nurse Specialist Practitioner. As a key member of our community nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Attaining the academic credentials and clinical skills required to practice as a Specialist Community Practitioner in District Nursing
- Working with the Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisors to develop the skills and competencies to achieve NMC Registration Standards for Specialist Community Practice
- Developing a sound understanding of current and emerging National, Regional, and local healthcare legislation, policies, and guidelines
- Building on skills of caseload and team leadership and management
- Participating in handovers and other team meetings
- Working within University Regulations pertaining to academic work and student conduct
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Academic ability to study independently at postgraduate level
- Excellent, adaptable communication skills both written and verbal
- Awareness of the role of contemporary District Nursing
- Recent experience of working as a registered nurse in a community nursing role
- Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Evidence of involvement in the management of difficult situations and conflict resolution
