Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager Opportunity

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our consultancy team at Anderselite. This role is crucial for the effective financial and commercial management of various projects within the rail sector. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant railway experience. Experience in network rail projects is essential. As a permanent position, this role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and large-scale projects, providing significant career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate the financial and commercial aspects of rail projects
  2. Develop and implement effective cost planning and procurement strategies
  3. Provide expert advice on project management, planning, risk, and investment
  4. Ensure compliance with railway and construction forms of contract
  5. Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors and commercial managers
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements:
  1. Professional qualification or working towards APC
  2. Member of RICS or equivalent recognized body
  3. Strong IT and communication skills
  4. Ability to work independently and manage fluctuating workloads
  5. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with COINS (Construction Industry Solutions) and NEC Contracts
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
