About the Role:

As a key member of the Drax Group team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our Electric Vehicle (EV) portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for leading a Bid Team and managing the end-to-end bid tender process. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality, tailored bid responses that showcase Drax's capabilities and raise the bar in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning the bid tender process from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective delivery of bids.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Presenting to senior executive level stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and insights.
  • Managing and reporting on bid performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Creating and maintaining a Bid Library, featuring professional and tailored bids that demonstrate Drax's purpose and brand.
  • Developing and implementing effective bid processes, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Delivering commercially sound business tenders and bids, meeting timescales and commercial parameters.
  • Approving the creation and writing of bid proposals and templates for the Sales Team.
  • Leading internal post-bid reviews, driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensuring all bids meet Drax's brand guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of leading successful Bid Teams, with a history of winning flagship accounts.
  • Experience in implementing strategic plans, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior executive level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the Electric Vehicle market, key industry regulatory frameworks, and data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Experience with bid platforms and frameworks.
