Coastal Flood Modeller

We are seeking a highly skilled Coastal Flood Modeller to join our team at Moody's Investors Service. As a Coastal Flood Modeller, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mathematical models that predict the impact of coastal flooding on communities and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and calibrate storm surge, wave, and coastal defence model components
- Validate model results through comparison to observed data and benchmarks
- Advance our models through research and implementation of novel scientific techniques
- PhD in a field related to storm-surge or coastal ocean modelling
- Experience working with high-performance clusters in a UNIX or Linux environment
- Experience with numerical models, handling large data sets, or statistical modelling
- Strong programming ability in scientific and analytical programming languages
- Experience with GitHub or similar code management software
