We are seeking an experienced Buyer with a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical procurement to join our team at Empower Digital Limited. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring procurement activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and source products that align with our company's brand and customer preferences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Ensure that goods, materials, and services are procured in accordance with specified requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure correct rates and trading terms and delivery schedules.
- Develop additional or alternative sources of supply and maintain lists of accepted vendors.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding product quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Raise and maintain purchase orders as required and match invoices to purchase orders.
- Expedite all outstanding purchase orders.
- Coordinate and update register in line with project budgets.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Liaise with the operational teams in respect of stock levels, transfer and deliveries and assist where possible.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including contracts, orders, and supplier correspondence.
- Support Procurement Manager in Ipswich Business Unit with procurement activities.
- Ensure end of month invoicing of goods is carried out appropriately.
- Adherence to internal procedures and good purchasing practice.
- Proven experience as a Buyer in the Mechanical and Electrical purchasing field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent personal integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to staff at all levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Full permanent working rights in the UK.
- UK current and clear manual driving license.
