Job Overview
Wates Group is seeking a dedicated Roofer to join our Living Space Responsive team. This role involves collaborating with our social housing partners, and we are particularly interested in candidates with relevant experience in this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repair and renewal tasks related to roofing.
- Maintain effective communication with the scheduling team, residents, and management.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and safeguarding protocols.
- Stay informed about the latest technical and legal standards in roofing.
- Collaborate with fellow operatives to ensure efficient completion of repairs.
- Document all work performed and materials utilized after each task using a PDA.
We are looking for an experienced roofer, preferably familiar with tetra systems, although training can be provided. The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to manage small projects and perform repair work. Experience in housing maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold relevant trade qualifications, with a minimum of NVQ Level 2, and possess a full UK driving license.
Skills:
Successful applicants will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to solve problems, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
