Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team and provide strategic financial leadership and support to our CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of the company, overseeing financial operations, planning, reporting, and analysis, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Support: Provide leadership and support to the CEO in the development and management of the business strategy.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely completion of annual statutory accounts, as well as periodic financial information.
- Cash Flow and Funding Management: Monitor cash flow and funding requirements, and ensure suitable funding is in place for working capital and capital requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage and coordinate the annual budget process, and provide monthly financial analysis against budget.
- Product and Customer Profitability Analysis: Perform analysis of revenue, direct and indirect costs by product and customer to inform business decisions.
- Commercial Support: Provide product cost build-up for new product and customer opportunities, and support sales invoicing and recovery.
- Costing and Transaction Management: Ensure accurate and timely allocation of transactions and costs to aid further analysis and tax compliance.
- Payroll and Payments Management: Ensure timely and accurate payment of payroll, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory liabilities and reporting requirements.
- Tax Risk Management: Ensure management of tax risks in accordance with our Group Tax Strategy.
- Business Analysis and Reporting: Provide regular and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Banking and Insurance: Manage the banking and insurance functions, including compliance with covenants and review of insurance recommendations.
- Business Systems and Process Improvement: Design, develop, and implement financial and operational systems, and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Finance Team Management: Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in a Finance Manager position or equivalent, with a strong track record of financial planning and analysis.
- Professional Qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or equivalent by experience.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the manufacturing/food industry is desirable, but not essential.
- Key Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and Management: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
