Our extensive direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network allows us to execute over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen products, as well as those from third parties.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Financial Accountant to generate monthly primary financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and related sections for board presentations, adhering to accounting standards. The role involves managing the financial internal control framework and preparing budgets and forecasts for primary financial statements and fixed costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile the trial balance and post necessary journal entries to ensure month-end reports comply with accounting standards.
- Produce primary financial statements using the designated template for submission to the Group within the established timeframe.
- Prepare month-end commentary for the balance sheet, cash flow, and fixed costs for inclusion in relevant reports.
- Generate balance sheet, cash flow, and fixed cost forecasts for site submissions.
- Monitor the internal financial control environment to ensure compliance with current standards.
- Conduct fixed cost overhead analysis and provide supporting commentary to highlight key trends and suggest corrective measures.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets register, ensuring all items are accurately identified, allocated to relevant projects, and reconciled with the trial balance.
Qualifications:
- Qualified or finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
- Experience in finance system management and internal control.
- Knowledge of accounting standards.
- Basic understanding of corporation tax and VAT.
