About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHSFT, working with older individuals at our memory assessment service. We welcome applications from psychologists in training or working at a lower level, who are registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Providing post-diagnostic support and guidance to individuals and their families
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff to develop their skills and expertise
  • Contributing to service audit and evaluation projects to drive quality improvement
  • Participating in team development activities to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Eligibility to register as a clinical/counselling psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Desirable qualifications in specialized areas of psychology, such as neuropsychology or cognitive rehabilitation
  • Essential experience working with older individuals and those with psychological difficulties, including dementia
  • Desirable experience in diagnostic neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation interventions
  • Essential skills in providing consultation, teaching, and training others, with desirable skills in supervision of colleagues
