Job Summary:
Brightwork Limited is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our production site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of our production plans, while also driving continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety, utilizing tools such as SPC, GMP, FMEAs, Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Sigma.
- Leadership and Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of operators, contractors, and engineers to achieve production goals, while ensuring adherence to company safety systems and protocols.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and standards, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Delegation and Support: Deputize for the Site Manager as needed, providing support and guidance to team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide coaching to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize production processes, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Experience: Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and standards.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervisory experience and qualifications, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
