AWC STAFF SERVICES LTD is a leading provider in the field of Cyber Security services, catering to various sectors including the National Grid. We are currently seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid CSCS card.
  • A current driving license is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fabrication, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and produce bespoke and architectural metalwork.
  • Proficiency in working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Capability to perform welding tasks (MIG and MMA) on-site.
  • Experience in managing bespoke orders from the drawing stage to the final product independently.
  • Relevant FISS/CIS certifications are necessary.
  • Demonstrated estimating skills are essential.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and welding methods.
  • Familiarity with subcontracting procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute fabrication and welding of industrial structures, with the ability to read and implement technical drawings effectively.
  • Perform cutting, bending, and welding of various products.
  • Conduct finishing and quality inspections to ensure high standards.
  • Uphold workshop Health & Safety protocols.
  • Complete Quality Control and Test Inspection documentation in accordance with project timelines.
  • Promote material sustainability practices, focusing on reuse and recycling to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance of installed services and equipment with contract specifications.
  • Document and report any defective materials or substandard workmanship.
  • Assess the need for additional personnel and resources as required.
  • Identify project risks and assist in developing contingency plans.
  • Adhere to best practices and methodologies for project execution and management.
  • Some travel may be necessary during the installation phase.
