We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Specialist to join our team at White & Clayton Recruitment. As a key member of our NPD team, you will be responsible for managing development projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and successful launches.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Management: Manage development projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and successful launches.
- Communication: Keep the NPD manager informed of project progress, highlighting anticipated and actual issues as early as possible.
- Process Improvement: Develop and review the C2L/Clarizen process to ensure it meets the needs of the business and customers.
- Team Leadership: Support, motivate, and develop the NPD & GD Technologist and Technician effectively.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and mentoring to the NPD, purchasing, operational, and commercial teams.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the project leader/lead commercial/Clarizen Project Leader to agree timings for the development elements within the project plan.
- Cost Management: Monitor final product costs throughout the C2L/Clarizen process and advise the project team of any deviations.
- Innovation: Evolve the R&D process to enable research of ingredients and processes that provide innovative and competitive advantages for the business.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the composition of factory operating procedures and QA measurements/standards for individual projects.
- Teamwork: Participate in and lead cross-functional Project Teams as required.
- Value Engineering: Develop a method to identify and recommend value engineering projects on existing products within product categories.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire co-workers.
- Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage and influence key functions of the business.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to drive performance of self and encourage team members.
- Teamwork: Able to establish and maintain effective and constructive relationships with key customers, suppliers, and internal customers.
- Process Driven: Process driven, demonstrating a rigorous adherence.
- Passion for Food: Passionate about food.
