Renewable Energy Operations Manager

Currently, our renewable energy generation capacity stands at approximately 9 gigawatts, with a substantial contribution from renewable sources.
Our objective is to achieve 25 GW of renewable generation capacity by 2025, and we are committed to expanding our operations to establish ourselves as a prominent international entity in the renewable energy sector.
We are seeking an Energy Management Operations Manager to join our Energy Management division, which offers top-tier energy sourcing and risk management services to our clients, including access to wholesale markets, market intelligence, and comprehensive market media resources.
This role will supervise a team of two Energy Management analysts and will be responsible for overseeing the wholesale market access service for our flexible customer base, as well as ensuring the timely production and distribution of high-quality energy market reports that provide daily market quotes and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the wholesale market access service for our flexible customer base.
- Oversee the creation and prompt dissemination of industry-leading energy market reports, delivering daily market quotes and insights to clients.
- Stay informed about the regulations governing European wholesale energy markets and monitor significant market developments.
- Represent TotalEnergies at industry workgroups and seminars.
Customer Market Operations
- Ensure the market desk is accessible to clients, providing them with leading market information and pricing.
- Accurately record customer instructions and communications, promptly addressing any issues and escalating them to management as necessary.
- Engage with clients through various channels to deliver optimal pricing and position information.
- Maintain service level agreements for clients and internal stakeholders.
Market Intelligence and Reporting
- Deliver high-quality market intelligence to clients through various methods, including in-person meetings, phone calls, and digital media.
- Publish timely and insightful market reports, clearly summarizing key market events and drivers.
- Provide accurate market commentary across multiple platforms, including phone, reports, webinars, and meetings.
- Contribute to the innovation of client materials and engagement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in an energy trading environment with exposure to live commodity markets.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in daily process checks and enhancements.
- Familiarity with energy monitoring tools and a basic understanding of programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and external stakeholders.
