Job Title: Childcare Advocate - Social Services Law Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Social Care Lawyer to join our team as a Childcare Advocate. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within social services law while working in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Expert Legal Advice: Assist the Principal Social Care Lawyer in delivering high-quality, cost-effective legal advice and representation. Help the Council achieve its objectives and policies within its legal framework.
• In-House Advocacy: Act as the in-house advocate for all Social Services matters, including all aspects of public law proceedings.
• High-Level Legal Support: Offer proactive advice and assistance in Social Services law to ensure effective legal support for the Council.
• Project Support: Contribute to an in-house project aimed at reducing expenditure on external Counsel.
• Training Leadership: Lead the Council's in-house training scheme for pupil barristers and trainee solicitors, supporting their development and integration into the team.
