Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee operations on a contractual basis. The role is essential for ensuring effective management of a team, including Gangers and direct labor personnel, while also supervising subcontractor activities.


Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Offer insights and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions.
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement safety measures.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained prior to use.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of Task Briefing Sheets and safety talks.
- Monitor workforce and subcontractor performance, suggesting areas for improvement.
- Ensure that equipment is suitable for the tasks at hand.
- Track project performance against established timelines.
- Conduct Safety & Environmental inspections regularly.
- Stay informed about changes in relevant legislation.
- Demonstrate commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
- Communicate the Environmental Policy effectively to the workforce, especially regarding significant environmental impacts.
- Strive to enhance safety standards at every opportunity.
- Communicate future requirements for site activities to the Engineering team.
- Ensure that the workforce has the necessary information regarding specifications and quality standards.
- Report any Non-Conformances as required.
- Monitor workmanship quality and promote a culture of 'Right First Time' within the supply chain.
- Conduct Quality Tool Box Talks.
- Utilize BIM field 360 for Quality Assurance.
- Contribute to weekly program updates and monitor progress against KPIs.
- Communicate weekly objectives and targets to the team.
- Understand key milestones outlined in the project schedule.
- Allocate appropriate resources for each task and monitor efficiency improvements.
- Lead daily control meetings with site supervisors.
- Validate labor and equipment records.
- Review small tools and equipment lists weekly.
- Be aware of project scope and identify additional work requirements.


Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to clearly communicate safe work systems and ensure compliance.
- Capable of taking ownership of tasks and effectively communicating results.
- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work outside regular hours.
- Ability to work independently and identify opportunities aligned with responsibilities.
- Must possess a valid driving license and hold a minimum of a Gold CSCS Card, along with SMSTS and First Aid certifications.
- Excellent team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with company protocols regarding accident and incident investigations.
- Unwavering commitment to implementing safe work systems.
- Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
- Innovative approach to enhancing safety systems where possible.
- Experience in delivering engaging safety talks.
- Proficient in resource management.
- Knowledge of specifications and contract documents.
- Understanding of relevant Business Management Systems and processes.
- Familiarity with construction tolerances and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Encourage team ownership and foster a 'Right First Time' culture.
- Experience managing direct labor and subcontractor activities.
- Ability to monitor key project dates and prevent scope creep.
- Capable of producing and maintaining daily records, conducting reviews with team members to ensure high standards.
- Understanding of material wastage allowances and ability to suggest improvements.

- Experience in delivering high-profile projects involving earthworks, deep drainage, and reinforced concrete construction, ensuring customer satisfaction and enhanced experiences for all stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze risks and benefits to resolve issues.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while prioritizing and multitasking effectively.
