Job Overview

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Associate to join our Acute Medical Team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert assistance to multidisciplinary teams in the provision of high-quality care to patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess and examine patients, initiate and interpret investigations, and recommend appropriate management.
  • Participate in ward rounds, medical triage, and clinics to assess and plan management for patients.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the clinical team and work within the Trust's policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Liaise with other professionals and specialties as required and complete necessary documentation relating to patients.
  • Perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge, working within clinical environments.
  • Become involved in all activities of the Directorate, including clinical governance, quality improvement projects, research, and teaching.
  • Represent the Directorate at internal and external meetings as appropriate.
