About the Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist II to provide coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide leadership and guidance on complex clinical cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and guidance to students and team members as assigned
- Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide leadership and coordination of physiotherapy services
- Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up
- Advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area
- Ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitor care delivery
- Identify service needs and assist other medical staff with caseload management
- Participate in program development and operational planning and represent the department on committees or programs
- Make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow, and caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
