The Role
To support the running of the new factory by resolving breakdowns, delivering maintenance, and driving improvements across the site and site services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all maintenance across site services and site facilities.
- Attend to breakdowns onsite to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery.
- Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production.
- Carry out PPM onsite.
- Carry out daily checks on all site services.
- Core facility and utilities services such as steam boilers and associated pipework, air compressors, water treatment system, CIP room checks, effluent plant, ammonia plant room, and other refrigeration systems.
- Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Ensure all chemical and bacterial checks/tests of cooling tower water are taking place as per internal schedule.
You
- Minimum of 3 years engineering experience.
- Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical and/or mechanical subject, and/or nationally recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
- 17th or 18th Edition Certification.
- Proven experience of working within the food industry.
- Steam utilization and boiler house training certification.
- Health and Safety/Basic Food Hygiene trained.
- Experience in managing contractors on-site.
- Proactive approach to fault finding and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Computer literate and working knowledge of MS Office and a PPM system.
- Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings/manuals.
