About the Role

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Security Program Manager to oversee the design, installation, and integration of security systems equipment, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems.

This key role is responsible for ensuring the compliance of physical security standards, managing physical security projects, and serving on cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in all facets of physical security and will be responsible for observing physical security standards and programs that support the goals of the Global Physical Security Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership for large-scale security engineering projects, coordinating security system design specifications and change management between internal teams and external vendors.
  2. Develop and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change outs.
  3. Support security system equipment commissioning and ensure the compliance of physical security project standards, project Scopes of Work, budgets, and timelines.
  4. Build and deploy training programs for all users of physical security systems.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development, implementation, and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region.

Requirements

  • 5-12 years of experience in managing the operation and installation of regional and/or global physical security systems.
  • Experience as a Physical Security Program Manager for large and complex installations.
  • Extensive experience in corporate security and workplace safety.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in managing security professionals or security monitoring centers desired.
