As a Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the Major Projects team, contributing to significant construction initiatives. Your role will involve overseeing complex building and heavy civil engineering projects, ensuring that all commercial aspects are meticulously managed.

You will assume full commercial accountability for substantial and intricate subcontract packages, guiding them from the tendering phase through to final account settlements.

Your responsibilities will include the commercial oversight of subcontractors, which encompasses processing payments, negotiating final account agreements, and addressing any disputes that may arise, while keeping a close eye on accounts in relation to cost and schedule forecasts.

It is essential to prepare accurate monthly cost/value reports for work packages promptly, reviewing outcomes and identifying trends in collaboration with project team members.

You will be tasked with optimizing cash flow, ensuring that payments are processed efficiently and that applications for payments are submitted in accordance with contract stipulations.

Additionally, you will manage change and risk processes within work packages, providing support to the broader project commercial team with necessary contract notifications.

Your commercial insights will include delivering financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team, aiding in the achievement of business objectives and project KPIs.

Proficiency in IT, particularly in MS Office with a strong emphasis on Excel, is required for this role. A full valid driving license is also necessary.
