About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metrology Calibration Engineer to join our team at Dorchester Search & Selection. As a Calibration Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all instruments and measurement devices are calibrated accurately and maintained according to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures for various instruments and measurement devices.
  • Perform routine calibrations and accuracy checks on equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve calibration-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of calibration results, equipment maintenance, and compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in calibration and measurement.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in calibration techniques and processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in calibration engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and calibration standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as ISO/ASME.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain meticulous records.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary in the range of £37,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunities for overtime. Our company offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, and we are committed to the continuous improvement of our measurement capabilities.
