Job Title: Group Financial Reporting Accountant

Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: Up to £60,000

About the client:

We are a well-established multinational organisation based in Manchester City Centre. With a strong focus on quality and innovation, we are dedicated to maintaining robust financial controls and accurate reporting. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Group Financial Reporting Accountant to support our Group Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective controls within the Accounting Services function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UKGAAP.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, statutory accounts, and corporation tax.
  • Reconcile all supporting balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining financial integrity and accuracy.
  • Address and resolve any queries raised by stakeholders regarding the accounts, providing clear and detailed explanations.
  • Prepare and present weekly group cash flow forecasts to the Financial Controller for consolidation, ensuring effective financial planning.
  • Proactively identify potential issues within the financial reporting process and suggest practical solutions.
  • Drive the completion of the group accounts, ensuring each entity is complete.
  • Develop and manage relationships with auditors and tax professionals, ensuring efficient audit and tax processes across all companies within the group.

Requirements:

  • Experience in audit from a top 6 Practice.
  • ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
