We are seeking an experienced Section Manager to join our Site Operations team at Avara Foods, a leading food business in the UK. Purpose of the Role:As a Section Manager, you will be accountable to the Production Manager for the operational output within your designated section. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing Team Leaders and colleagues within your zones.
- Leading your section on all food safety, health & safety, and quality standards adherence.
- Coordinating customer visits and audits, ensuring effective planning and delivery.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives across various areas.
- Carrying out line-side SICs to filter information to the Production Manager.
- Utilizing allocated resources within your section and escalating shortfalls when required.
- Implementing processes and procedures to capture data for further analysis.
- Ensuring consistency in the application of company policies and procedures.
- Developing and reviewing SOPs for designated areas.
We are seeking an experienced Section Manager or Team Leader with a proven track record in people management and continuous improvement. You should have experience working in a similar production or manufacturing environment and be able to lead and motivate a team to achieve operational excellence.
You will be an excellent communicator at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders, and have excellent time management and analytical skills. Experience of coaching and developing a team to ensure they reach their capabilities is also essential.
