Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer

Expleo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and equipment for a range of applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment, including mechanical handling equipment and movement systems.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to other designers and engineers.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary design teams and ensure coordination and functionality of design.
  • Contribute to the preparation and production of drawings in support of basic, detail, and production design.
  • Assist in the resolution of production and technical queries and develop discipline solutions for the team.
  • Develop innovative design solutions and fulfill design lead responsibilities for multi-discipline low-risk projects.
  • Maintain individual knowledge of current best practice in the application of designer expertise across the design lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • HNC minimum in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Experience in a detailed design environment.
  • Good knowledge of CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
  • Incorporated Engineer status.
  • ICF (Integrated Competency Framework) to be demonstrated or being worked towards.
  • Demonstrable experience in technical leading of a multi-disciplined design team.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
