Job Description

The Role:

You will undertake a varied in-house legal role, reporting directly to our General Counsel based in Australia. The role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract with GBST Holdings Limited, a forward-thinking business delivering innovative wealth management solutions to enable, support and scale wealth management and advice to some of the largest financial services organisations in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts including negotiation and preparation of complex technology contracts including SaaS arrangements.
  • Providing expert input on general commercial matters, including intellectual property, employment, privacy, data protection and corporate law.
  • Guiding the legal support during pre-sales process including responses to RFxs.
  • Educating and upskilling the business on legal matters.
  • Initiating and contributing to continuous improvement in project methodologies, processes and supporting tools.
  • Demonstrated success providing commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice.
  • Current or prior experience working at a mid- or top-tier law firm, technology vendor or financial services organisation.
