About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vetting Officer to join our team at ABM. As a Vetting Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough background checks on applicants, including 5-year referencing checks and detailed background investigations.
  • Administer candidate data in accordance with government regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of references and background checks.
  • Collate and maintain accurate records of all references, screening, and ID checks.
  • Ensure timely submission of weekly reports on pass management and compliance.
  • Identify and manage high-risk applicants and ensure that all necessary checks are completed.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including IDC and internal bodies.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and laws, including GDPR and Data Protection Act 1998.
Requirements
  • Highly analytical and able to understand regulatory text.
  • Skilled at multiple stakeholder management.
  • Proactively and constructively challenges assumptions and approaches at all levels.
