About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing radar systems and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop system-level solutions for radar systems and projects.
  • Supervise and assist with radar development trials and customer demonstrations.
  • Implement and deliver completed solutions.
  • Work hands-on with radars and supporting systems as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong systems engineering experience, with a degree or equivalent qualification in a numerate subject.
  • Ability to design, develop, analyse and think at a system level.
  • Experience working with formal system requirements.
  • Appreciation of multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Appreciation of project management practices and methods.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of system hardware and software.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of radar systems.
  • Experience from an aerospace systems, sensors, security, or ISTAR/C4ISR/ESM domain.
  • Experience or education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering/Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience working with different computing platforms (Linux, Windows, etc).
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Hands-on assembly and working skills.

Location:

South of Cambridge in a semi-rural location. Occasional travel required, with a driver's licence considered beneficial.
